Workshop on Devops 17.04.2026

Certificate Course on DevOps

DevOps, a blend of "Development" and "Operations," is a methodology that emphasises collaboration, communication and integration between software developers and IT operations teams. Understanding the basics of DevOps is a mandate in the present fast-paced tech landscape, where continuous delivery and automation are key to accelerating software deployment and improving product quality.

For MCA students, gaining proficiency in DevOps basics opens up promising placement opportunities.

The Training and Placement Cell, in association with IT Club Aavishkar, organised a certificate course on “DevOps Basics” from 17th to 24th April, 2026, led by Mr Pavan Reddy, a professional trainer from the Magic Bus Foundation.

The trainer illustrated the DevOps practices across industries such as IT services, finance, healthcare and e-commerce, where rapid development cycles and reliable infrastructure management are essential. Tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git are integral to implementing DevOps principles, enabling teams to automate testing, deployment and infrastructure provisioning. He explained how implementing DevOps would streamline workflows, enhance collaboration between departments and minimise errors through continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), which improves customer satisfaction and business agility.

Many organisations now seek candidates who understand both coding and operational aspects, making DevOps skills highly desirable. About 270 students of MCA participated in the workshop, exploring foundational DevOps concepts and gaining practical insights into their real-world industry applications, enhancing their understanding of modern software development practices.
