The Board of Studies(BOS) is the significant Academic Functionary constituted as per clause 12.5 of the University Grants Commission Conferment of Autonomous Status upon Colleges and Measures and Maintenance of Standards in Autonomous Colleges, 2023. There shall be separate Board of Studies for each Department/Faculty of the Institution.

Roles and Responsibilities of the BOS:
The following shall be the Roles and Responsibilities of the Boards of Studies:
- To design and suggest for introduction of new courses/programs at UG, PG and PhD Levels in unique and emerging areas in line with National Educational Policy, 2020
- To review, restructure and redesign the programs from time to time as per the current needs of students in alignment with the needs of business and industry, in alignment with the vision and mission of the Institution and in compliance with the norms and standards prescribed by the concerned statutory bodies
- To prepare detailed syllabus content for different courses of various programmes of the concerned department
- To design certificate/post graduate diploma/short term and skill-oriented courses/certifications to enhance the competencies of the graduating students
- To design certificate/diploma/short term and skill-oriented courses/certifications to support the needs of local community
- To study the Teaching Learning and Assessment methods of various universities and institutions across the world
- To design the Teaching Learning Methodology and Assessment System suitable to the courses/programs offered at various levels inline with the National and International Standards
- To recommend the rules, regulations and minimum qualifications required for admission into the programs concerned, to the Academic council/ Board of Governors
- To recommend the qualifications and expertise required for faculty to teach a particular course/ subject/paper for the approval of the Academic Council
- To suggest organisation of orientation, training, skill development and refresher courses required for the faculty to make them ready to teach new and revised courses
- To devise a system of continuous professional enrichment for the faculty through conference participation and presentations
- To equip the faculty with latest educational technologies through orientation programs and training sessions
- To design and implement Faculty exchange programs with national and international universities
- To provide Industry training for the faculty to make them equipped with the knowledge and skill required to teach industry ready courses
- To design and arrange training programs for industries and business houses by the faculty of the institution
- To suggest the requirements of laboratory, software and other facilities related to the revised/ newly developed programs and courses
- To identify physical and digital instructional resources suitable to the programs concerned and recommend the same for the approval of the Academic Council
- To prepare/revise panels of subject experts for paper setting and evaluation, practical/laboratory examinations and viva-voce, panels of adjudicators for Project/Thesis /Dissertation of UG/PG/PhD courses.
- To monitor and review the programme structures, course syllabi, curriculum delivery plans and assessment systems on regular basis
- Maintenance of records pertaining to all the above matters
